The Tides Estate Wedding of Michelle and Mike

Check out their beautiful highlights:

Michelle and Mike were recommended to us by Mike’s Sister, and his cousin, whose weddings we filmed previously. They got 2 our Artistic Package, and added a 2nd photographer to the Silver package, as they weren’t interested in an album. German and I started with Michelle and the girls at the Wayne NJ Residence Inn. Michelle was quickly given the Best Wife Award, which she gladly excepted, haha. Walking in was interesting cause she reminded me of the flying nun with this paper on on either side of her hair, I guess to protect it from the airbrushing. German and I quickly got to work getting some shots of everyone and focusing on details like the dress, shoes, flowers, rings and invitation, then we got some fun shots of her and the girls in their robes, and some gorgeous shots of Michelle getting dressed and by herself.

Steven and Pete started with the guys at Michelle and Mike’s home. A much quicker process. Uniquely one of Mike’s groomsmen was a woman, a good friend of his, so that was cool. She was just one of the guys though when they were doing shots at their built in bar. The guys got some great shots of them outside. I love the one of them walking lined up, very Reservoir Dogs 😉

We all met up at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Pompton Lakes for a great ceremony. She got a little emotional during the vows, and he was all smiles. Afterwards we captured some family shots, then it was off to the Tides Estate in North Haledon NJ, for some bridal party shots and more. They had the lower room, so when another bride appeared, who I guess took preference, we had to finish up on the left side of the grounds. I swear I never knew about that section and have been there SO many times. I guess we just usually shoot in the main area.

Cocktail hour was delicious as usual at the Tides, and then the party started with some great first dances. I love the shot of her with her with her dad. Such a beautiful moment. I always wonder what’s going through their heads. Is he picturing her as little girl? Is she thinking about all those years he’s been raising her? It’s a lifetime of love in a few moments.

The rest of the night was just party party party. We had a great time with everyone, and it was great to see Nina (his cousin) and Andrew, now with their baby, and Angela (his sister) and Eric with there kids again. I always love the reunions when we get referred!

Here’s a shot of me and the crew with Michelle and Mike. Thanks to the guest who used German’s camera to get the shot 🙂

The Valley Crest Farm Wedding of Meredith and Kenneth

Watch their gorgeous highlights here:

Meredith and Kenneth’s day started with coverage of them getting ready at the Courtyard Marriot in Lebanon NJ, where they saw each other for the first time that day. Then it was off to Downtown Clinton by the Red Mill Museum for some great shots with the bridal party and the couple on the Bridge, and by this beautiful and lush Rock wall. This was followed by a couple stops at Valley Crest Farm in Lebanon NJ where the ceremony and reception would be held. First at a white barn near a silo, and then on the road to the farm for some woodsy shots, and finally on the farm itself.

There was a beautiful pond, and a huge tree where the ceremony was held, plus the reception area had a rustic farmer’s market feel to it. For the ceremony the guests were invited to make their own dried herbs and flowers mixture in a paper cone which they tossed at the bride and groom at the end. Each herb and flower represented something important to marriage, like lavendar for kindness, and roses for love, and sage for wisdom, and oregano for patience.

After the ceremony guests enjoyed popcorn and drinks, including some fruity iced teas, before making their way uphill to the reception. At the reception there was a cigar bar, and some games set up for guests to enjoy, like the bean bag toss. This was a non-traditional reception, and so there were no intro, no first dance, no parent dances, and no cake cutting. There were toasts however, which were all great. Listen to what the dad says, it’s very sweet, and the maid of honor’s rap was funny. We’re filming her wedding this May!!

They wanted to be very non-traditional, so there was no first dance, no parent dances, no cake cutting, etc. I was able to capture a shot of Meredith dancing with her dad at one point, although not a slow song, but unfortunately I never got a shot of Ken with his mom. If you think you might cherish those moments, or that your parents would, don’t be afraid to be traditional, at least for a few minutes 😉

It was an absolutely gorgeous day with lots of unique and creative touches throughout, and I’m thrilled they loved the highlights. I even got a note from her dad who said it was “Super Fantastic”. Congrats again Meredith and Kenneth!!

Here’s her review on WeddingWire

“Frankly, I wasn’t interested in videography for our wedding. It was something my mother wanted to have, so I did some quick searching on WeddingWire and booked with Eric because he was local, his prices fit my budget, and I really couldn’t be bothered with another decision at that point. Man, did I luck out! Our wedding highlight video is spectacular, and truly captures the best parts of the day. Our parents loved getting their blu-ray copies as their own keepsakes, too. What’s more, Eric listened to my comments on what I liked (and didn’t like) about other highlight videos and made sure to incorporate (or eliminate) elements based on my preferences. We have such a special keepsake from our day, which we honestly watch ALL THE TIME. We’ve gotten so, so many compliments, and we also have something like eight hours of raw footage we can always have re-edited into a longer video down the line if we like. Let this be a lesson– listen to your mother, she usually knows best, and hire Creative Unlimited for your videography needs.” – Meredith

Note: They really only got about 4 hours of footage. If you got 8 you would blow your brains out, haha.

The Gramercy at Lakeside Manor wedding of Tracy and Mike

Tracy and Mike were referred to us by Tracy’s cousin Jeanine, whose wedding we did a year or so earlier (check out their video here). We loved working with them so were super psyched to get to see them again, and work with Tracy and Mike. Mike is apparently a pro at billiards, even able to do some serious trick shots, and that’s who they met, shooting pool.

We started our day with them at the Renaissance in Woodbridge NJ, where they both got ready. German and I were with Tracy and the girls, while Millie and Dave were with Mike and the guys. We were capturing both photography and videography. It was fun to see them incorporate the holiday spirit into their day with some unique accessories, plus the batman socks all the girls wore. Tracy had a bit of her mom’s wedding veil sewn into her own, as a loving tribute to her mom who is no longer with us.

Then it was off to the ceremony at St. Vincent De Paul Roman Catholic Church in Bayonne NJ. Her cousin performed the ceremony, as he did for Jeanine and Dennis, so it was more personal and there was some great humor in it. Afterwards we got some great family photos, and then head off to the Gramercy at the Lakeside Manor in Hazlet NJ. There was more Halloween fun including a pumpkin with the couple’s photo carved into it, and a Photo Boooooth with tons of costumes and props. It was special evening for this couple, and everyone had a great time at the reception. Congrats again guys on a beautiful day.
