Storyteller Wedding at the Westwood

This one comes from Stephanie and Stephen who chose to do a Storyteller Edit featuring some in depth interviews with each of them throughout their wedding video. It’s really cool, and they absolutely loved it. Here’s what they had to say :

“Eric,
We received the wedding video today and we were completely blown away! You did a fantastic job with it and we can’t wait to show it to our family and friends! We don’t think there need to be any changes made and it’s great just as it is. Thank you so very much for capturing our day and putting our story to the video in such a way that will allow us to remember the nuances of that day forever!

Thanks again!
Stephanie and Steve”

Here are a couple of clips from their video. Congrats again guys!!!

Let there be Light! LED Light!!!

I purchased this awesome new LED on camera light from Litepanels, the LP Micro Pro. I’ve used it at several weddings now and I have to say it’s a wonderful thing! For years I’ve been tethered to a big battery belt around my waist with my Frezzi light (which still holds a special place in my heart). This worked well for years, but limited my movement somewhat, and weighed me down. When the battery belts started going it was either invest in more belts, or look into other on camera lighting options.

What attracted me about the LP Micro Pro is that it’s light (pun intended), it’s bright enough, and it runs on AA batteries (I use rechargeables, better for the environment). It’s dimmable so we keep it as low as is necessary to capture great images without blinding guests. Also, I don’t have to be wired to it, which means I can take it off camera for some creatively lit shots, and I’m loving the freedom to move and capture even more great shots. Plus, I don’t have to wear a battery belt, yaaaayyyyyy!!!

The other thing that is important is that it doesn’t bother the guests during the night. Our goal has always been to be as unobtrusive as possible. With our Frezzi, we weren’t blinding guests either, thanks to softboxes, but even the lightest battery belts were a pain by the end of the night for us (a back pain). Always looking for ways to improve our work, including using the latest equipment and I just wanted to share about this great new tool.

Totally 80’s Wedding at The Manor

Haha, actually the wedding wasn’t so 80’s but Suzan and Joe’s music choices for their video all were, and I looooved it. They got 2 camera wedding coverage, so I started with Suzan and Rahim started with Joe. Their reception was at the Manor in West Orange, and it was just a really wonderful day. Nothing says fun day like “Don’t you Forget about me”.

Suzan writes: “We love the video…love love love it!!! And the DVD itself and the case too! Joe says you should do music videos for a living :c) You guys are amazing at what you do and we couldn’t have asked for anything else… :c) Suzan & Joe”

Wild wedding at the Westmount Country Club

Michelle and DJ definitely had a lot of ideas for their wedding. Michelle even had a Blog going to document the planning (and thanks for the mention), haha. It was definitely important to them to get an amazing video, and I think they really loved our style. With 2 camera coverage we captured them each getting ready at the Hampton Inn Suites in Fairfield, all the fun details and traditions of their Filippino ceremony, and the really fun and wild reception that followed at the Westmount Country Club in West Paterson, NJ. I love a fun bridal party, and as you’ll see, their friends and family are a wild bunch, haha. Check out these clips from their wedding:

Great Review

I just got this great review from a Jessica, whose wedding we filmed recently. She says “Kenny, my parents, and I absolutely LOVE the raw footage!!!! You guys did such an amazing job and were so much fun to be around at the wedding! I keep watching the video over and over and it reminds of just how amazing and perfect the whole entire day was! Thanks for making it such a great day and also documenting all of our important events!!! You guys are the best! – Jess and Kenny :)”

Jessica’s mom also called to say how she really felt like she was at the wedding again watching the footage we captured. Our videographers and photographers operate in much the same way. We try to capture as many of the guests and moments of the day as possible. Plenty of weddings I’ve left confident that we captured every guests at least twice, and sometimes there are like 300 guests. It’s good to be meticilous and detailed 😉 I love getting great comments, the only kind we get 🙂
