The Imperia Same Day Edit of Vanessa and Rafael

Vanessa and Rafael booked us for photography and videography for their day. German and I started with Vanessa at the Fairfield Inn in Somerset NJ, while Steven and Pete were with Rafael at his home. We LOVED Vanessa’s shoes, a sweet pair of sneakers. They did a first reveal at the Imperia on Easton, located in Somerset NJ, where the ceremony and reception would be held. After a sweet reunion we then captured some great family and bridal party portraits, plus some with their Daughter. The word of the day was mocos, to get extra big smiles, especially from their daughter. That’s spanish for Boogers, haha.

The beautiful ceremony was highlighted by a special gift for their little girl, and some tearful vows. The Imperia amazed as usual with a fantastic cocktail hour before the bride and groom were introduced into the reception, in the lower room. It was a fun evening with some amazing emotional moments like the mother daughter dance, and the speech by Vanessa before it. While we were busy filming, Rahim, our editor, was in back putting together an amazing little Same Day Highlights to show everyone.

Digital Shorts and Love Stories – Creative Wedding Videographer

I just wanted to post some of our past Digital Shorts here. So many fun ones with our clients, and it’s definitely something you might want to consider for your day. It can be anything you like, a story about how you met, a music video with you guys lip syncing, a spoof of tv or movies you like, or an original short film. Definitely fun for you and for your guests, and it will have them talking for months about your amazing movie. It can be romantic, funny, musical, or a little of everything.

Rachel and Danny shared their story about how they came together in their condo complex and fell in love. This one is sweet and sentimental. A Love Story 😉

Jessica and Michael started it all with their all inclusive short wedding film. They were a real creative couple and definitely took some of the ideas we offered and ran with it. This is just part of their video, featuring some hilarious tv and film spoofs. Check it out:

Tatiana and Apollo came to us from their friends Tannia (Tatiana’s cousin) and Michael. They loved Tannia and Michael’s short so much they wanted to do one of their own. Apollo is hilarious, and they were a fun couple to film. This is just part of the whole video featuring the sweet story of how they met on Myspace, and Apollo getting ready for their first date.

Melanie and Kyle were actually brought to us by Kyle’s dad, a true film enthusiast. Kyle is a character, and we hit it off so well, Melanie questioned whether we should be the ones getting married, haha. It was a fun day of filming. This story is done in a kind of “Lost” flashback sort of way, on the night Kyle was to propose we flash back to everything from their first meeting to the day Kyle bought the ring. We filmed in the Princeton area and at the actual restaurant (with the actual waiter) where Kyle popped the question. It’s definitely goofy, a little bit of corn and cheese, but in all the right places 😉

Lisa and Chris – Wedding at Windows on the Water

For both Lisa and Chris this would be their 2nd marriage. They each had wonderful kids, and knew they had found someone special, so the wedding was set for July 2009 at Windows on the Water and Creative Unlimited was extremely happy to be there to capture every moment.

We started at the Molly Pitcher Inn in Red Bank NJ where the happy couple were getting ready with the family. A lot of fun shots with the kids, and of course the beautiful bride and handsome groom. Then it was off to Windows on the Water in Sea Bright NJ where we got some really beautiful and fun shots of the couple on the beach, and even in the water (a little).

The ceremony and the party that followed were special as the couple was surrounded by close friends and family while making some very personal vows. It was a very sweet event and the evening was topped off with a bonfire on the beach and some good old fashioned marshmallow roasting. Check out these great clips from their wedding video:

Bernadette and Jeff at the Crystal Plaza

We finished this wedding a long time ago, and I realized I never put up any clips. Bernadette and Jeff are a very sweet couple. Dave and I showed up at the Sheraton Suites to capture each of them getting ready. The ceremony was at St. Francis Church in Hoboken, NJ, and the reception followed soon after at the Crystal Plaza in Livingston NJ.

Since Bernadette is Filipino, this was a Filipino wedding, and so there were plenty of customs including sponsors, the coins, the cord, and the veil. The reception was a lot of fun, and we even showed a Same Day Highlights, which you can see here, and on our YOUTUBE page). Check out the great video clips from their wedding.

Busy Weekend

I’m back from a very busy weekend. On Friday I had an early morning appointment which went well as they booked. Then I filmed Corrin and James’ wedding at the Bridgewater Marriot. It was a beautiful day, a beautiful ceremony, and a really fun and sweet couple. Everything went well with the exception of the Hair and Makeup artist they hired showing half an hour before she had to leave for church. That’s 2 and a half hours late. Thankfully quick thinking they got a hair stylist and makeup artist from the mall across the road, and everything turned out great and Corrin was beautiful. The Bridesmaids and me and the photographers did our best to keep her happy and calm. You can imagine the stress. I always tell people to start hair and makeup at an hour earlier then you think you need to, because it always makes people late, ALWAYYYSSSS!!!!

Saturday we had 2 weddings going on. Me and Rahim were filming Maria and Michael’s wedding which started out in Brooklyn at the Regina Pacis Church, and the reception at the Valley Regency in Clifton, NJ. Plus we stopped at Lambert Castle, a popular photo spot for weddings (and sweet 16’s as there were a couple of those there). Michael is brothers with Fortunato, whose wedding we filmed back in 2006. They come from a long line of happy referrals, so it was great to see Lauren and Fortunato at their wedding in the bridal party. It was also really nice chatting with their 93 year old grandmother. I remember her from Fortunato’s wedding, as she was taking a lot of pictures. She’s in amazing shape and sharp as a tack. I hope I can be that cool when I’m 93.

Meanwhile, Dave was filming Elisa and Paul’s wedding. It started out at the First Presbyterian Church in Moorestown, NJ, and the reception was at the Bradford Estate in Hainesport, NJ. It was just a one camera shoot, so Dave definitely had a lot of running around to do to capture everything, and it all looks great. On Sunday I had a couple of more appointments, and both booked, so it was a very busy but great weekend all around.
