What a fun and hot couple Melissa and Bryan proved to be on this chilly November engagement shoot in Central Park. They booked us for wedding photography and videography for their day coming up in August 2015, and were excited to do an engagement shoot in the city. We settled on Central Park, because there are just so many beautiful options there, but you could do one anywhere throughout the city, and I have a few other spots up my sleeve as well.
We met by a hot dog cart at the west entrance to the park. Immediately I saw a beautiful patch of colorful flowers that was just picturesque with the tree leaves hanging down from above. So they hopped a fence and got in position for a few cute shots. Then we hit up a park bench, an ivy archway, Bethesda Terrace, and some spots in between. While at Bethesda we were treated to a really unique performance by a couple under the bridge. I utilized a LOT of natural light, but had off camera flash ready for a few key moments, and especially as the night progressed. Just directing, chatting, and making jokes, really helps put the couple at ease and brings out some sweet moments, and big smiles, plus a little heat 😉
Check out the awesome painting with light shot we got at night using his cell phone light. Took a few tries, but came out nice! Then we swung by Times Square for a few more fun ones, but by then it had been almost 3 hours, and we were all hungry, so we stopped by Havana Central for a fantastic meal and to chat more about marriage, the wedding, etc. I love to chat, so don’t be shy about calling me people! Great couple and some beautiful pics.
