From Radison to Addison

We had a couple of great weddings this weekend. I already got a great review from Lauren and Dan. Here’s what they have to say:
“Eric,
Thank you for filming our wedding this past Saturday at Addison Park. Dan and I had an amazing time and everyone in our bridal party thought you were great- easy to work with and very friendly. The picture of you in the photo booth was awesome!EVERYONE cannot wait to see your finished product. We hope you enjoyed the rest of your weekend. And again, great job and thank you for making our wedding run so smoothly.

Love,
Lauren and Dan” Awww thanks guys. Love you too 😉

First Stephanie and Kevin got hitched. I started at Stephanie’s while Dave was with the Kevin and the guys. Got the chance to work with David and Amy Lau photography, LAUUUUU!!! Their always nice. I took Stephanie’s dress outside for a sweet shot hanging on the picket fence out back, the maid of honor stood serious guard while I did that, haha. Of course, I was careful and it’s in the name of art, but not a smudge baby, as usual. Stephanie looked gorgeous, and was all smiles all day long 🙂

The day continued at their St. Cecelia’s Church in Iselin, NJ and then we shot over to the Crystal Ballroom at the Radisson in Freehold, NJ. That was my first time there. Nice place though. Made friends with the fajita and pasta girls, haha. Great party, it was fun to see them both out on the dance floor. Kevin has some moves.

The next day I was flying solo for Lauren and Dan’s wedding at Addison Park. I started with Lauren getting ready. Lauren looked amazing in her gown, and was very cool and collected. I’ve never gotten so many thanks for every compliment, but a beautiful bride, and beautiful friends, makes for an easy day for me. Luckily, all my brides are beautiful 😉

After getting ready we went over to Addison Park in Aberdeen, NJ so Lauren and Dan could see eachother for the first time, and get all their shots done before the ceremony. It was a very sweet moment, and we worked quickly to get everything they needed, and then the ceremony started as the sun was setting. Beautiful, but thankfully our cameras work well in low light because it was getting dark.

The reception was awesome. They partied and danced the whole time, even grandma and grandpa got out there a few times. Jay from Sound Connection DJ’s was doing his thing. I helped him with his video blog, by providing the light, haha, but we had a great time together as usual. They had a photobooth, which I love, so I got a shot for myself, but also left one for the couple in their album below, using some napkins to deliver my message. I even got a keepsake at the end of the night, one of several leftover favors a nice glass with the Rutgers R, and their names and wedding date. Now evertime I drink from it, I’ll think of them. Maybe I should give out mugs too, haha. Good idea 😉 Congrats guys.

Unfortunately, I didn’t take out my still cam for some pics at Stephanie and Kevin’s wedding, but I did at Lauren’s wedding. Here are a few fun ones:

Wonderful new review :)

I just got this wonderful review today from Julia and Jeff. We filmed their wedding quite some time ago and unfortunately shortly after the wedding the best man (the groom’s younger brother) passed away very suddenly. It was an extremely difficult time for them as can be expected. Rahim who actually filmed the event (as 2nd cam) also edited the video, and we both got a little choked up watching the footage. I made some additions to really make it special, and you can feel they truly appreciated it.

I just find it amazing to be able to see someone again who is no longer with us. Photos are nice, but nothing, NOTHING captures someone the way a good video can!!! It’s not a reason any of us cares to think about, but if you don’t think a good video is worth it, think again. Here is their wonderful and touching review:

“Good morning Eric,

I almost called you at 10 pm last night but I didn’t know if you were sleeping. We watched the video last night and I can’t even tell you how much we love it. The video itself was done beautifully – love the music and the way the speaking (readings in the church, officiant, etc.) was done as it showed us and our family.

But the most touching part was how you dedicated it to Jason and wrapping up the video with Jason’s words. Jeff and I were bawling. It was so unexpected and so wonderful. My beloved grandmother died this year at age 104 so to see her and Jason in the video made us cry but made us happy to see them and especially hear Jason’s voice.

Just had to tell you how much this video means to us – can’t really express it.

Have a great weekend and will email you next week.
Julia”

Deya and Angel’s Wedding at The Tides

When a teacher falls in love with a cop, you know it’s gonna be educational and dangerous. These two are a really sweet couple. Rahim and I started at Deya’s parent’s house, where she was getting ready. After plenty of fun footage I headed over to St. Anthony’s Church in Butler, NJ to get set up and get some footage of the guys. Rahim stayed behind to get a few more shots of Deya, including her getting into the limo, and the limo ride over.

The ceremony went really well, punctuated by a sloppy wet kiss Angel planted on Deya that had her laughing, haha. Then it was off to the Tides in North Haledon, NJ for some family and bridal party portraits and the reception. They had a mariachi band playing during cocktail hour, which you’ll see in the “Video Shoot” clip. A lot of fun dancing. Deya’s brother is a dance machine. Crazy, haha. Deya called to say “the video is perfect”. Congrats again guys on the start of your life together.

Another really great review!!! Wedding at The Manor

Just got this great review on WeddingWire from Suzan and Joe. I already posted a clip about their wedding in the recent post “Totally 80’s Wedding“, and a review they wrote us personally, but this one on WeddingWire is just much more detailed.

“Creative Unlimited stands apart from the crowd of wedding videography services. There is a clear distinction between the quality of serivce and end product that you receive with Creative Unlimited – versus – videography services provided by a photography studio.
Creative Unlimited was extremely flexible with the scheduling of my wedding day, as the plans were still tentative at the time of booking. The videographers showed up early on the day of, to both locations, as my husband and I had two camera men. Eric (bride’s videographer) was extremely personable with my entire family, and was able to capture all of the hustle and bustle that was going on while I was getting ready. My husband and his grooms men also enjoyed the company of their videographer.
The quality of our video is amazing. Creative Unlimited provides you with all the raw footage, and allows you to request specific songs for your video. No detail was missed…the menu options are actual video loops, the effects that were added are very classy and appropriate, and the editing is unreal. Our wedding video is so perfect, it’s almost like watching a music video!
I highly recommend that if you’re considering using the video services of your photographer, you think twice. Photography studios often provide video services as a matter of convenience, but they do not specialize in it.”

That’s right Suzan, those Photography studios don’t specialize in Video like we do. Most video companies don’t make a video like we do 😉 We also provide Photography now, but the difference is it’s done by actual creative photographers and album designers, so we maintain our level of creativity and commitment to excellence. Plus, we care, so that makes all the difference. Thanks for the review Suzan!! Here’s Suzan and Joe’s highlights

Busy Weekend

I’m back from a very busy weekend. On Friday I had an early morning appointment which went well as they booked. Then I filmed Corrin and James’ wedding at the Bridgewater Marriot. It was a beautiful day, a beautiful ceremony, and a really fun and sweet couple. Everything went well with the exception of the Hair and Makeup artist they hired showing half an hour before she had to leave for church. That’s 2 and a half hours late. Thankfully quick thinking they got a hair stylist and makeup artist from the mall across the road, and everything turned out great and Corrin was beautiful. The Bridesmaids and me and the photographers did our best to keep her happy and calm. You can imagine the stress. I always tell people to start hair and makeup at an hour earlier then you think you need to, because it always makes people late, ALWAYYYSSSS!!!!

Saturday we had 2 weddings going on. Me and Rahim were filming Maria and Michael’s wedding which started out in Brooklyn at the Regina Pacis Church, and the reception at the Valley Regency in Clifton, NJ. Plus we stopped at Lambert Castle, a popular photo spot for weddings (and sweet 16’s as there were a couple of those there). Michael is brothers with Fortunato, whose wedding we filmed back in 2006. They come from a long line of happy referrals, so it was great to see Lauren and Fortunato at their wedding in the bridal party. It was also really nice chatting with their 93 year old grandmother. I remember her from Fortunato’s wedding, as she was taking a lot of pictures. She’s in amazing shape and sharp as a tack. I hope I can be that cool when I’m 93.

Meanwhile, Dave was filming Elisa and Paul’s wedding. It started out at the First Presbyterian Church in Moorestown, NJ, and the reception was at the Bradford Estate in Hainesport, NJ. It was just a one camera shoot, so Dave definitely had a lot of running around to do to capture everything, and it all looks great. On Sunday I had a couple of more appointments, and both booked, so it was a very busy but great weekend all around.
