The Tides Estate Wedding of Michelle and Mike

Check out their beautiful highlights:

Michelle and Mike were recommended to us by Mike’s Sister, and his cousin, whose weddings we filmed previously. They got 2 our Artistic Package, and added a 2nd photographer to the Silver package, as they weren’t interested in an album. German and I started with Michelle and the girls at the Wayne NJ Residence Inn. Michelle was quickly given the Best Wife Award, which she gladly excepted, haha. Walking in was interesting cause she reminded me of the flying nun with this paper on on either side of her hair, I guess to protect it from the airbrushing. German and I quickly got to work getting some shots of everyone and focusing on details like the dress, shoes, flowers, rings and invitation, then we got some fun shots of her and the girls in their robes, and some gorgeous shots of Michelle getting dressed and by herself.

Steven and Pete started with the guys at Michelle and Mike’s home. A much quicker process. Uniquely one of Mike’s groomsmen was a woman, a good friend of his, so that was cool. She was just one of the guys though when they were doing shots at their built in bar. The guys got some great shots of them outside. I love the one of them walking lined up, very Reservoir Dogs 😉

We all met up at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Pompton Lakes for a great ceremony. She got a little emotional during the vows, and he was all smiles. Afterwards we captured some family shots, then it was off to the Tides Estate in North Haledon NJ, for some bridal party shots and more. They had the lower room, so when another bride appeared, who I guess took preference, we had to finish up on the left side of the grounds. I swear I never knew about that section and have been there SO many times. I guess we just usually shoot in the main area.

Cocktail hour was delicious as usual at the Tides, and then the party started with some great first dances. I love the shot of her with her with her dad. Such a beautiful moment. I always wonder what’s going through their heads. Is he picturing her as little girl? Is she thinking about all those years he’s been raising her? It’s a lifetime of love in a few moments.

The rest of the night was just party party party. We had a great time with everyone, and it was great to see Nina (his cousin) and Andrew, now with their baby, and Angela (his sister) and Eric with there kids again. I always love the reunions when we get referred!

Here’s a shot of me and the crew with Michelle and Mike. Thanks to the guest who used German’s camera to get the shot 🙂

The Valley Crest Farm Wedding of Meredith and Kenneth

Watch their gorgeous highlights here:

Meredith and Kenneth’s day started with coverage of them getting ready at the Courtyard Marriot in Lebanon NJ, where they saw each other for the first time that day. Then it was off to Downtown Clinton by the Red Mill Museum for some great shots with the bridal party and the couple on the Bridge, and by this beautiful and lush Rock wall. This was followed by a couple stops at Valley Crest Farm in Lebanon NJ where the ceremony and reception would be held. First at a white barn near a silo, and then on the road to the farm for some woodsy shots, and finally on the farm itself.

There was a beautiful pond, and a huge tree where the ceremony was held, plus the reception area had a rustic farmer’s market feel to it. For the ceremony the guests were invited to make their own dried herbs and flowers mixture in a paper cone which they tossed at the bride and groom at the end. Each herb and flower represented something important to marriage, like lavendar for kindness, and roses for love, and sage for wisdom, and oregano for patience.

After the ceremony guests enjoyed popcorn and drinks, including some fruity iced teas, before making their way uphill to the reception. At the reception there was a cigar bar, and some games set up for guests to enjoy, like the bean bag toss. This was a non-traditional reception, and so there were no intro, no first dance, no parent dances, and no cake cutting. There were toasts however, which were all great. Listen to what the dad says, it’s very sweet, and the maid of honor’s rap was funny. We’re filming her wedding this May!!

They wanted to be very non-traditional, so there was no first dance, no parent dances, no cake cutting, etc. I was able to capture a shot of Meredith dancing with her dad at one point, although not a slow song, but unfortunately I never got a shot of Ken with his mom. If you think you might cherish those moments, or that your parents would, don’t be afraid to be traditional, at least for a few minutes 😉

It was an absolutely gorgeous day with lots of unique and creative touches throughout, and I’m thrilled they loved the highlights. I even got a note from her dad who said it was “Super Fantastic”. Congrats again Meredith and Kenneth!!

Here’s her review on WeddingWire

“Frankly, I wasn’t interested in videography for our wedding. It was something my mother wanted to have, so I did some quick searching on WeddingWire and booked with Eric because he was local, his prices fit my budget, and I really couldn’t be bothered with another decision at that point. Man, did I luck out! Our wedding highlight video is spectacular, and truly captures the best parts of the day. Our parents loved getting their blu-ray copies as their own keepsakes, too. What’s more, Eric listened to my comments on what I liked (and didn’t like) about other highlight videos and made sure to incorporate (or eliminate) elements based on my preferences. We have such a special keepsake from our day, which we honestly watch ALL THE TIME. We’ve gotten so, so many compliments, and we also have something like eight hours of raw footage we can always have re-edited into a longer video down the line if we like. Let this be a lesson– listen to your mother, she usually knows best, and hire Creative Unlimited for your videography needs.” – Meredith

Note: They really only got about 4 hours of footage. If you got 8 you would blow your brains out, haha.

Sarah and Nick’s Same Day Highlights

We’re thankful Sarah and Nick booked us to cover their wedding day, and I think the feeling is mutual. They decided on a Same Day Highlights package, and because I was personally already booked they got my best guys Pete and Dave instead. I trained my guys, so they know what to capture, and how to make our couples look good 😉 Rahim arrived before the ceremony to start transferring the footage Pete and Dave captured earlier in the day, and begin editing their Same Day Edit. It’s a high pressure experience for sure, but when you know what you’re doing, it comes out amazing.

The couple started their day at the Hilton Garden Inn in Lakewood NJ, where the first saw each other before heading over to the Eagle Ridge Golf Club for family and bridal party portraits. We don’t always get to include intros, first dance, or speeches, but we really aim to, and definitely succeeded on their wedding night.

Special Thanks goes out to Unfortgettable DJs, in particular Chris Garrow, who worked with me days before the event to coordinate showing the highlights on their screens, and ensuring it’s in a format they can play. We’ll never forget you guys 😉

The Valley Regency Wedding of Kallie and Carmine

Kallie came to us from her cousin Zena, who’s wedding we shot the year before. I never actually met her until the wedding day, but we were very friendly from several chats and e-mails, so much so that as soon as I walked in she started saying how I was one of the nicest and most helpful vendors to her friends, haha, blush blush 😉

This was only 1 camera coverage, so I started with Kallie at the Crowne Plaza in Fairfiield NJ. The photographer was a cool guy with a bow tie. She was ready on time, we got some beautiful shots of her inside and outside the hotel, with the girls and family, before heading of to the church. We met up with Carmine at St. George Greek Orthodox Church for the ceremony, and he was all smiles, perhaps a little bit of nerves. The ceremony was beautiful, I love a Greek Orthodox ceremony actually, they’re a little longer than some, but we’re typically allowed to move around a little more (discretely of course), and so you can get some really beautiful shots. I love peaking over a bridesmaids shoulder to catch the bride and groom exchanging glances and smiles.

After the ceremony, and a few family portraits on the alter, we headed off to The Valley Regency in Clifton NJ for more bridal party portraits and the reception. The food and service at this place is always outstanding, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. It was great to see Zena and Adam again, with their little girl. There was a ton of really good dancing, and some fun speeches, so it was really a great night for a wonderful and happy couple.

The Gramercy at Lakeside Manor wedding of Erica and John

What an awesome and fun couple Erica and John are together. It was an absolute pleasure to be a part of their day, and to become friends with them afterwards. Erica and John both started getting ready at The Renaissance Hotel in Woodbridge NJ. I was with Erica and the girls, while Dave was with John and the guys, who were totally goofing off the whole time. The Ceremony was at Our Lady of Victories in Sayreville. It was a sweet one.

Then we drove over to The Gramercy at Lakeside Manor, in Hazlet NJ, for some bridal party and family shots, as well as more of the couple, before the reception. There were some pretty emotional speeches about this amazing couple, and then some of the best dancing we’ve ever seen at a wedding. John teaches hip hop and so there were a lot of his friends and students at the wedding, really working some crazy moves. Erica even got in on the action and sang. Awesome couple, awesome night, and awesome highlights!

This is what Erica had to say:

I Have to start off by saying that your wedding day is supposed to be the best day of your life..all of your hard work goes into hope for the perfect day and Creative Unlimted makes that day so easy for you. Eric and Dave were amazing and you didnt even know they were there. Eric didnt feel like your videographer he felt like your friend and he actually has become a friend of ours. Video is so incredibly important to get for your wedding day. If I had to choose between video and pictures I would pick video..someone else can snap millions of pictures for you but video is special…I have watched mine over and over again alone and with my family and it doesnt get old… you live that day over and over again. If I have any advice for wedding planning it is to get video and get it with Creative Unlimted. Our video is like your watching a movie…the creativity that they put into it is one of a kind. Thank you sooo much guys!” – Erica (as seen on WeddingWire)
