Watch their gorgeous highlights here:
Meredith and Kenneth’s day started with coverage of them getting ready at the Courtyard Marriot in Lebanon NJ, where they saw each other for the first time that day. Then it was off to Downtown Clinton by the Red Mill Museum for some great shots with the bridal party and the couple on the Bridge, and by this beautiful and lush Rock wall. This was followed by a couple stops at Valley Crest Farm in Lebanon NJ where the ceremony and reception would be held. First at a white barn near a silo, and then on the road to the farm for some woodsy shots, and finally on the farm itself.
There was a beautiful pond, and a huge tree where the ceremony was held, plus the reception area had a rustic farmer’s market feel to it. For the ceremony the guests were invited to make their own dried herbs and flowers mixture in a paper cone which they tossed at the bride and groom at the end. Each herb and flower represented something important to marriage, like lavendar for kindness, and roses for love, and sage for wisdom, and oregano for patience.
After the ceremony guests enjoyed popcorn and drinks, including some fruity iced teas, before making their way uphill to the reception. At the reception there was a cigar bar, and some games set up for guests to enjoy, like the bean bag toss. This was a non-traditional reception, and so there were no intro, no first dance, no parent dances, and no cake cutting. There were toasts however, which were all great. Listen to what the dad says, it’s very sweet, and the maid of honor’s rap was funny. We’re filming her wedding this May!!
They wanted to be very non-traditional, so there was no first dance, no parent dances, no cake cutting, etc. I was able to capture a shot of Meredith dancing with her dad at one point, although not a slow song, but unfortunately I never got a shot of Ken with his mom. If you think you might cherish those moments, or that your parents would, don’t be afraid to be traditional, at least for a few minutes ;)
It was an absolutely gorgeous day with lots of unique and creative touches throughout, and I’m thrilled they loved the highlights. I even got a note from her dad who said it was “Super Fantastic”. Congrats again Meredith and Kenneth!!
Here’s her review on WeddingWire
“Frankly, I wasn’t interested in videography for our wedding. It was something my mother wanted to have, so I did some quick searching on WeddingWire and booked with Eric because he was local, his prices fit my budget, and I really couldn’t be bothered with another decision at that point. Man, did I luck out! Our wedding highlight video is spectacular, and truly captures the best parts of the day. Our parents loved getting their blu-ray copies as their own keepsakes, too. What’s more, Eric listened to my comments on what I liked (and didn’t like) about other highlight videos and made sure to incorporate (or eliminate) elements based on my preferences. We have such a special keepsake from our day, which we honestly watch ALL THE TIME. We’ve gotten so, so many compliments, and we also have something like eight hours of raw footage we can always have re-edited into a longer video down the line if we like. Let this be a lesson– listen to your mother, she usually knows best, and hire Creative Unlimited for your videography needs.” – Meredith
Note: They really only got about 4 hours of footage. If you got 8 you would blow your brains out, haha.
